When I walked in one of the workers was sitting down playing on his phone which I thought was an unprofessional image. When I ordered my burrito he was nice but seem condescending. Then his coworker a blonde girl came out who was apathetic and totally void of emotion I felt unwanted and like I was disturbing their day. The burrito sucked the man doesn't know how to wrap them. It fell apart within two bites. Then the bag of chips is a rip off the chips suck. Also the workers are awkward and lazy

I enjoy their junior burrito bowls. I like that you can get brown or white rice. I usually get brown with the spicy steak. And the sauce options are great. Not such a fan of the chips and salsa deal though. Much rather eat here, then drive out to the commons for chipotle.

Not a bad Chipotle knock-off. Rather than well seasoned chicken and rice to carry the burrito Hot Head relies on a whole slew of hot sauces. Not bad if that is what you like. It's a nice lunch break place for a decent price.

This place is horrible. Don't ever even think to go here. Ordered a steak burrito. The onions and peppers I added into my burrito were covered In salt and pepper. So when I got home to eat it, it was so overwhelming that I had to add my own homemade salsa into my food to even try to finish. I wouldn't even feed this to my dog, if I had one. To add insult to injury, the customer service was crap. They didn't care what or why you were there. The manager was hovering in the back watching his staff have their own personal conversations. So incredibly disappointed at the fact I just literally threw money away and that I had to even give this place 1 star.

Why is everyone hating on HH? Me and the Mrs are regulars here, and it's never been a let down. Staff - 5/5: friendly, relaxed atmosphere, staff is always nice to talk to. Location - 4/5: always clean and I like how you have several screens to watch different things while you eat. Food - 4/5: First off, that sweet habanero sauce is something special. It tastes great but don't let the habanero name fool you. I love the variety (just like places such as Chipotle) - don't fancy a burrito? You have options. Now I have brought up to management about trying their hand at a personal favorite, the QuesaRito. However who knows if that'll come true or not. The ingredients seem fresh, always got a good product, made how I want it. Pricing- 5/5: We love the 2 for $20 deal. Everyday is some kinda special going on. Overall 5/5: Don't hate it. Appreciate it. Also a good option if your lunch break is pressed for time.

It's empty for a reason. Knock off chipotle. Cold, sitting out for forever. Was not impressed at all. A little upset I choose here over subway or tropical smoothie :(

Just didn't enjoy the burrito at all. I thought 'hey why not try it since I do Love Moe's' Ummm.. No. The service was great. Very friendly staff but the burritos are just awful. The ingredients don't taste fresh, the chicken was very salty, the steak was plain, and the queso was no bueno either.

This place is AMAZING!!! Way better that chipotle. Steak or pork burrito bowl is the best! I always add the pineapple to mine. So good! Must try!

On a hunger run with 2 friends, we pull up to Subway and saw a line of 10 people. Hmmm.... Oh look, theres a burrito place right next to it that is completely empty. "Hey, have you 2 ever eaten there? No? But you live RIGHT down the street! Never? K well I will be brave and try it!" .... Tsk tsk tsk, shoulda known better. When a place is empty its usually for a reason. They do not know how to construct a burrito for one. The 2 girls working there CLEARLY hated their jobs, I wouldn't blame them. Um, wheres my free chips and salsa bar? $1.25 extra for ANY cheese??? Sucky sauces that you wont get in from half the burrito. The tortillas suck, don't ask why kuz I dunno. Meh. After getting stoned it didn't taste any better either. It was EDIBLE though! Simply put, go to Moe's or Chipotle.... or Taco Bell lololol

I thought our Spicy chicken burrito and steak nachos was decent. Nothing authentic, but filled us up. I wanted to sample some of the sauces but the worker wasn't having it, she instead just pointed out the "fan favorites"... The restaurant was empty and looked outdated.

I don't normally rate any place that low as I love food, but this place as a whole was a disappointment. If you've ever been to Moe's right down the road, this is pretty similar but with less options and things aren't as fresh. I got the two-pack, two burritos, two drinks and chips/salsa for $18. I got a spicy chicken burrito and it did have a little spice. The making of the burrito DID NOT look appetizing. Maybe it was just that particular employee who lacked attention to detail but right off the bat I was regretting my decision to eat here. The guacamole seemed like the "fake" pre packaged type, it was not very good. The pico de gallo seemed like large chunks of over ripe, mushy tomatoes. My cheese was still cold inside the burrito. Just overall it did not taste good. My advice: drive the extra 1/4 mile down Mary Esther Blvd and go to Moe's. It's the same thing really but Moe's is better. I personally don't plan on eating there again.

Wow... This place is disgusting. Literally just threw away my whole meal! What advice would I give??? FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO EAT!

I went to hot heads the week it opened and it had very weak customer service (to be expected in the first opening week), so I thought I would wait a while for them to get their act together. After two months, they have not- it's gotten worse. Everyone working there has bad attitudes and couldn't care less. The managers more than anyone couldn't care about the customers, workers or food. The food is good, a little expensive but you get a lot. As others mentioned before the rice is cold and the guacamole does taste fake (for an extra 1$ more, enjoy a fake veggie!). It is a poor mans chipotle, I can tell you that. I would rather go to Moes, just to get treated better. I don't think I'll return back here...

Horrible, Taco Bell is next door you're better off going there it will actually be more fresh and your service will be better. The employees were very miserable, food was like buffet food and chips were seriously horrendous and Mexican food is my favorite. I'll never go again, just moved here and that was a complete waste of time and money!

Their burritos to me are way better than MOES hands down. But they are defiantly not better than Chipotle! The only issue I had was that it was cold. But I microwave it and it was amazing.

Terrible and tasteless. Does not compare to chipotle, the gold standard. It was like eating a cold bowl of burrito mush. The only flavorful element of the gruel like meal was the cholula hot sauce.

What I liked: - It had some extra meat options you don't usually see. It's been awhile since I've had spicy barbacoa, for example. - There were a ton of hot sauce options. The "straight habanero" actually was spicy. Usually places will label pickled jalapeno as "five alarm extreme spicy", but this place pulled no punches. - The guy working there was helpful What I didn't like: - The burrito completely fell apart about half way through. It was like the tortilla just disintegrated. - Two options for salsa on the burrito: medium or hot. The medium is a salsa verde and the hot is a red sauce. Just say "green or red", because the difference between those two flavors is substantially larger than the difference between medium or hot. You don't find out it's a green sauce until it's too late. - The green sauce tasted metallic. I usually don't like green sauce to begin with, but this one was particularly bad. - The tortilla chips were really, really bad. They tasted like some sort of baked flat pita and almost definitely weren't made on-site. Coupled with the medium (green) sauce, the chips and salsa side was not edible. I would rate their chips and salsa a negative one. This is their area with the most room for improvement. - All their salsa and hot sauce options are behind the counter. While you can get a sample, I would prefer they just leave them out for anyone to use at their leisure. I think they have the potential to set themselves apart from a place like Moe's, but they're not quite there yet.

Went here for the first time, it was not a pleasant visit. Everything about the place is just a worse moes the foods not as fresh or lower quality the staff dosnt seem to care and shows it in how they make your food. Just drive down the road a extra mile, this place isn't worth a try honestly.

I finally stopped in to try this place at a reasonable hour, i.e., not at lunch time. The first time I visited (around 11:45 a.m.) the line was unbelieveably long. I returned on another day, this time around 5:30 p.m., and was able to pretty much get in and out. Hot Head specializes in burritos and burrito bowls. I decided on a bowl and proceeded to choose what I wanted while their personnel built it, assembly line style. You first choose a fiber (white rice and brown rice), a protein (they have several kinds of meats, I chose spicy taco), and then you have a vast choice of other additions (black beans, pinto beans, pico de gallo, onion, sour cream, guacamole, cheeses, peppers, etc.). Then you get to top it off with sauces of your choosing (I chose the next to hottest, some sweet habanero variety). Although I've never eaten at a Moe's I've seen comparisons online between the two. I very much enjoyed what I tried and look forward to visiting again soon.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
